Abundant offerings at St. James Harvest Festival and English Tea

On Sunday, October 16, in place of our regular worship services at 7:30 am and 9:00 am, St. James held the Church of England Mass for the Harvest Festival. Our rector, De Freeman, challenged the congregation to bring so much produce for the offering that it would be difficult for the altar servants to walk around. I believe we met the challenge.

The produce was blessed at both our services, and then taken to Ecumenical Ministries to be distributed to the community. Following the Festival, we held an English Tea in our parish hall. Thank you to all of the women who loaned us their beautiful china and to Elaine Estefan and her team of workers for putting on such a lovely event!
