BECOMING BELOVED COMMUNITY RACIAL RECONCILIATION WORKSHOP

Hosted by St. Mary's Episcopal Church 6849 Oak Street, Milton FL 

Join us for an interactive workshop which will provide insights into the causes and effects of racism. We explore unconscious bias, prejudice, white privilege, and ways to work together to Become The Beloved Community. This offering is required for those in parish leadership (such as vestries) and at the diocesan level (including serving on commissions, committees, agencies, boards, etc.). It also qualifies for 8 hours of clergy training/education for those who complete the day long course.

 

Limited to 30 participants. There is no fee to participate but it requires the commitment to be engaged the full day.

NOTE: Light Breakfast & Check-in at 7:30am. Worship begins at 8am, we then move directly into the Workshop (plan to finish by 5pm).

HAPPENING

Happening is a Christian experience presented by teenagers, for teenagers with the help of clergy and lay adult leadership. This weekend is an opportunity for our teenagers to have a good time in an all inclusive atmosphere while they grow closer to God. It is a weekend away from the stresses of school, sports, and life in general. 

Cost: $60


Age: 10th-12th Graders


Happener Registration: October 11, 2019 - January 31, 2020

Happening Staff is open to all teenagers that have participated in Happening. If you thought Happening was full-filling and an amazing time, wait until you're on staff! Family Group Leaders, Gofers and musicians are needed. There is also the opportunity to be Observing Lay Rector and Observing Head Gofer.

MEN'S CONFERENCE 2020

The 39th Men's Conference and Retreat will be centered around "Politics and Religion: Can Christians Still Render Unto Caesar?" presented by The Very Reverend Ian S. Markham, PhD from Virginia Theological Seminary. This casual weekend will include fellowship, oyster shuckin', worship, spiritual growth and much more. Registration closes February 15, 2020.
