It's time to join a mission team to the Dominican Republic

The Commission on World Mission is pleased to announce that applications are now being accepted to join a mission team to our companion diocese of the Dominican Republic. If you have ever thought about taking part in one of these missions now is the time! Since 2006 we have had both a Medical and a Construction Mission team go to the Dominican Republic. The next mission will be: Medical Mission Dates are: Saturday March 4 through Sunday March 12, 2017. For information contact either Keith Greene (850 496-7724) or Linda Vogel (vogel8130@outlook.com). Construction Dates are: Friday March 10 through Sunday March 19, 2017. For information contact Geary Gaston (gearygaston@bellsouth.net) The Medical team takes medical care and medicines to those who would not otherwise have it. The Construction team builds pews and other church furniture for Episcopal churches in the Dominican Republic so that our brothers and sisters in the DR will have a more comfortable and pleasant place to worship our Lord. Participation in these missions is open to all adult communicants of the Diocese. For the Construction team neither an ability to speak Spanish nor prior experience building furniture is necessary. Deadline to file an application is Friday November 4, 2016.
