2016 Convention held up in Prayer

"Almighty and ever living God . . . Be present with those who take counsel for the renewal and mission of

your church." The 16th convention of the Diocese of the Central Gulf Coast was supported throughout the convention by the prayers of the women of the Daughters of the King and the women of The Episcopal Community. Not only was a prayer chapel at St. Paul's, Daphne, sponsored by the two organizations, but other members who could not be present in Daphne committed to praying from home during the sessions.

Prayer request forms were included in all delegate packets as well as at the exhibit tables of the two groups. Prayers were said both for the work and worship of the convention and for individual prayer concerns submitted by those in attendance. Organizing the prayer chapel were Vicky Patterson and Beth Moore, Diocesan President and Vice President of the Daughters of the King and Nancy Young, National President of The Episcopal Community.
