Daughters of the King at Holy Cross welcomes three new members

On September 20, the Rev. Jandy Watkins, diocesan Daughters of the King Chaplain, admitted three women of Holy Cross, Pensacola, to the order. Brenda Brown, Ede Craig, and Lois Rohrer joined the chapter by taking lifetime vows of prayer, service, and evangelism. Carolyn Igo, transferred into the Holy Cross chapter. Another candidate, Sylvia Clark, who has completed the required three-month training and discernment period, will take her vows in the near future.

The chapter is currently developing several pastoral care ministries and maintaining a confidential prayer list, giving support to the clergy and strengthening the spiritual life of the parish. The chapter is looking at having a quiet day focusing on Centering Prayer.

Jandy Watkins, Diocesan Daughters of the King Chaplain, joined with the daughters from the Holy Cross chapter to commission and install new officers Pam Walker, President; Marcy Winters, Vice President; Carolyn Igo, Treasurer; Susan Karl, Secretary.
