About The Event

Happy 250th Birthday, America!
On Sunday, July 5th at 10:00 AM, The Episcopal Church of the Nativity in Dothan will host a special historical worship service using the 1662 Book of Common Prayer. This liturgy reflects the style of Anglican worship our colonial ancestors would have known in the years between the American Revolution and the adoption of our first American Prayer Book in 1789.
This will be a meaningful opportunity to experience the roots of our Episcopal tradition, reflect on how our worship has evolved over the last 250 years, and celebrate the birth of our nation.
Following the service, all are warmly invited to join us in the Parish Hall for a good old-fashioned fellowship meal as we celebrate Independence Day and extend a special welcome to our new Reverend Deacon, James Holcomb.
We would be delighted if members from across the Diocese would join us for this…
