Daughters of the King Fall Assembly

The Mary and Martha of Bethany Chapter of the Daughters of the King at St. James Parish, Fairhope, will host the Diocesan Fall Assembly from 9 AM until 3 PM on Saturday, September 22. All Daughters are encouraged to attend. The theme for this meeting is "Living Out Our Vows---Being Ambassadors for Christ." The keynote speaker for this event is the Rev. Canon Kammy Young, Diocesan Missioner for Development: Evangelism and Mission Engagement, who will be assisted by two members of the Diocesan Evangelism Task Force, Lydia Johnson from St. Paul's, Mobile, and Madeline Bliss from Holy Trinity, Pensacola.

During the Holy Eucharist that day, the new Diocesan Chaplain, The Rev. Dr. Mary Jayne Ledgerwood, Associate Priest at St. James, Fairhope, will be installed, along with the new Diocesan Officers: Beth Moore, President (St. James, Fairhope); Susan Martin, Vice President (Christ Church, Pensacola); Dianne Walters, Secretary (Nativity, Dothan); and Dana Herazo, Treasurer (St. Francis, Dauphin Island).

Registration for this event is open through September 14. All Daughters of the King are invited.
