About The Event

Join us on Mondays, beginning September 9, from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM as we explore the culture and language of the men, women and children who are seeking refuge from persecution and terror in their home countries in Central America. The class will be led by Odin Toness, an anthropologist who has lived and worked in multiple Central American countries as well as in Mexico and El Paso, TX. The class is designed to encourage us to study Spanish 101 and to read and discuss in Spanish articles relating to the life situations of these refugees. For information, or to register please contact Deacon Clelia, garritycpg@gmail.com
