Christ Church Cathedral hosts an annual brunch in support of the Mobile Elite Chapter of the Kappa League that funds preparation and fees for college entrance exams. Latest totals show the 30, 2021 seniors of the Mobile Kappa League have received $2.5 million in scholarships. We are asking for sponsors willing to support the project for $100 (sponsorship entitles you to 5 meals).
After you signup, please click to pay using our online system, or you may place a check in the alms basin, or mail it to the Cathedral office, 115 S. Conception Street, Mobile, Alabama 36602. Pick-up for plates will be in the servery beginning at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday, May 16, or you may drive to the new kitchen entrance to have meals delivered to your car. To drive through turn from Church Street onto South Conception Street in front of the Cathedral office. Turn onto the alleyway between the Cathedral campus and the Probate Building and look for the volunteers. Thank you for supporting our youth.
For brunch we will have eggs, cheese grits, sausage, bacon, and a biscuit.
Christ Church Cathedral is a long-time supporter of the Elite Chapter of the Mobile Kappa League
Kappa League is a program for the educational, occupational and social guidance of male students in grades 9 through 12. The nucleus and primary focus of the Kappa League revolves around the "Five Phases" which are:
- Self-Identity: Discipline, Assurance, Awareness, Appearance
- Training: Academic, Career-Choice, Preparation, Organization
- Competition: Politics, Career Advancement, Sports
- Social: Religion, The Arts, Entertainment, Conversation/Communication, Etiquette/Manners
- Health Education: Physical Fitness, Sex Education, Drug Education, Health and Safety.
