18th Annual BBQ & Blues Festival

For the 18th year, the dedicated workers from Church of the Advent are proud to once again provide a venue for us to gather as a community, enjoy some good music, great food, pleasant weather and support our local arts and crafts vendors. 

Thanks to our sponsor United Bank and support from area merchants, we will offer a fun-filled day for you and your family or friends. Some folks even like to bring their fur babies! Best of all, ADMISSION IS FREE.

We are excited to bring you a special treat this year. Straight from New Orleans, TED HEFKO AND THE THOUSANDAIRES will provide a delightful musical experience, with the spontaneity of jazz, the bare-bones sensibility of early folk, and the vibrancy of New Orleans. Their music can be found at ted.hefko.net or on YouTube.

Tiny's Smokehouse will provide delicious BBQ and sides. Advent Women of the Church will have a bake sale, and we also offer grilled hot dogs. The Men of the Church will have beverages available.

Our loyal vendors and artists will provide assorted items for you to purchase, so give them support by visiting their booths.

Entertainment for children includes a bouncy house and face painting.

Buy one raffle ticket for $20 and have a chance to win $500, $300 or $200.

Visit our Parish Hall and see the unique array of items for bid at our Silent Auction. The auction ends at 2 PM and you do not have to be present to win. We accept cash, check or credit card.

Profits from this event allow the church to provide grants to local charities and organizations.

We appreciate community support from prior years and look forward to another great day.

Please note: There will be a shuttle available from the parking area to event grounds.
