Important Details for Convention
Receiving the Zoom and VPOLL Links for Saturday, Feb 27
Clergy and lay delegates who are eligible to vote will receive both the Zoom Meeting link and the VPOLL log in credentials several days prior to the start of the convention. The email will come from jenn@diocgc.org. If you did not receive the email, check your promotional, junk or spam folders. If you still do not find the email, send an email to jenn@diocgc.org.
Clergy and other convention attendees with seat and voice only will be sent the Zoom Meeting link.
All others are invited to what the convention livestream on the diocesan website, YouTube channel or Facebook page.
Technology
We will be using Zoom Meeting for Convention Proceedings, and VPOLL for voting. Convention participants will have the best experience by using a computer with webcam, speaker, and microphone for the Zoom Meeting, and a separate smart device (tablet or mobile phone) for the VPOLL Voting. Please ensure you have adequate internet connection.
Technology Notes - a how-to sheet for Zoom and VPOLL.
Training
We are making every effort to ensure that Convention attendees are sufficiently trained to fully participate in Convention. This type of convention is new for all of us, including Bishop Russell and the Duvall Center Staff!
Convention attendees concerned with joining a Zoom Meeting for the first time may set up a one-on-one over the phone training with Jenn Johnson. Call 850-434-7337 to make an appointment, Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm CST. Here is a helpful video for Zoom first-timers.
All voting attendees are asked to attend the Pre-Convention Meeting via Zoom on January 31. Details here.
Additionally, we will post upcoming virtual office hours for folks who have questions regarding Convention participation.
