•These vows are a commitment to intentionally live out our Baptismal Covenant: to pray and serve daily as guided by the Holy Spirit and to undertake regular spiritual and Biblical study as a path to spiritual growth.
•The community encourages dialogue and personal connections among members. Members will have access to a website or a group established to connect all members in the life of prayer for needs and thanksgivings.
•The Community as a body does not take a stand on issues of political or doctrinal nature.
•The Community welcomes women from the diversity of spiritual experiences and practices represented in The Episcopal Church.
SUMMARY
The purpose of The Episcopal Community is to help build up the spiritual life of its members by being a part of a vowed community and by providing resources to help its members and their congregations extend the Kingdom of God as revealed in and through Jesus Christ. Members are committed to intentionally living out the Baptismal Covenant through prayer, sharing, study, and service. The process of formation is moving steadily forward. Though there are some unanswered questions, the dialogue is rich with ideas.
As in most communities, the Community will be defined by its vows that give intentionality and rhythm to life and guide spiritual growth as members support and learn from each other. Members focus on living out their Baptismal Covenant in order to be more effective disciples in the church and the world.
