St. Simon’s hosting floral design seminar January 21st, 2010

St. Simon’s is proud to host Sally Spencer at a floral design seminar on Thursday, January 21^st The day begins with a coffee at 8:30 to be followed by a floral demonstration from 9:00 till noon.  The price for coffee and seminar is $35.  Luncheon will follow at 12:30 for an additional $10.

There will be a “wine and cheese” reception on Friday, Jan 22^nd, from 5:30 to 7:30  for $25 .

Sally Spencer began arranging flowers in church settings in 1997.  She especially enjoys encouraging flower guilds wherever there is worship and over the past six years Sally has provided counsel to Episcopal and Lutheran Churches throughout Florida. She loves sharing the ministry of flowers with others.

Sally was prime presenter in 2008 and 2009 at the St Peter the Fisherman’s Spring Flower Event. Her workshops included “Wreath Making with Natural Materials” and” Garden and Grocery Store Flowers.”   Both presentations have been favorites in the Central Florida area.

Sally began her professional approach to flowers with Mary Kay Haik at Marigold’s Garden and Gift Store, Ft. Walton Beach.   After moving to central Florida, she expanded to weddings and parties and became so busy and successful at efforts she thoroughly enjoyed; she started her own design and consulting firm: Sally Spencer Floral Designs.
