St. Paul’s Thrift Shop Annual Luncheon held in Daphne

DAPHNE, AL — The volunteers and staff of St. Paul’s Thrift Shop celebrated their success at their annual luncheon by sharing their 2010 profits with agencies from Baldwin and Mobile counties on Saturday, April 20, 2011.   The agencies honored are some of the organizations the Thrift Shop partners with for the betterment of the community by helping the needy in Baldwin County, as well as Wilmer Hall Children’s Home, an agency of the diocese. Board Treasurer, Barbara Matuszek, presented representatives of each agency with a check. (See photos)

The Thrift Shop’s 100+ volunteers were also honored for their hard work and dedication in making 2010 such a successful and rewarding year. Rochelle Robinson, volunteer for over 30 years, received the Lifetime Achievement Award for her dedicated service. Eileen Head was named Volunteer of the Year, 2011 or, as it is officially known, the Nifty Thrifty.

Judy Ollinger was chairman of this year’s event. The volunteers presented a fashion show wearing the fabulous clothing, shoes and jewelry that is offered for sale at the Thrift Shop. The event was held in the Christian Life Center at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Daphne, AL.
