St. Paul's Thrift Shop, on the main campus of St. Paul's Episcopal Church
in Daphne, has had four prior locations since the year of its inception, 1977.
Below is a chronological history of the various spaces
for this popular Daphne shop.

The first location was in Daphne’s first drugstore,
an apothecary, on the corner of Captain O’Neal Drive and College Avenue
across from MayDay Park. What is now a private residence, the building
housed the thrift shop until 1979.

Location 1

From 1979 - 1983 the shop took donations and sold to customers
from this brick building at 28666 N. Main St. in Daphne.
Below are two of the shop’s founding members, McLeod Turner and Jean Yuille.

Location 2

The old Daphne Methodist church building was home
to the thrift shop from 1979 - 1983 offering another
historical location for the shop. The City of Daphne Museum
currently resides in the building.

Location 3

The Thrift Shop moved up the street to Main Street in
what used to be a meat shop and is now a pub called Vinny’s.
Both donations and funds immediately increased due to the more
visible location of the shop. This old town Daphne location provided
space from 1998 - 2002.

Location 4

Since 2002 the shop has been in its new, spacious building
on the church property facing North Main Street in Daphne.
Plenty of parking is provided in front as well as unloading
space on the side of the building.
