The Diocese of the Central Gulf Coast and the Episcopal Church Medical Trust are co-hosting a Healthcare Informational Workshop on Monday, September 21, 2009, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at St. Christopher’s, Pensacola.
Lunch will be served for $5.00.

Laurie Kazilionis, Vice President of Client Relations and Marketing for the Episcopal Medical Trust in New York, will lead this important event. This is an excellent opportunity for you to become a more knowledgeable healthcare consumer and learn how to better manage your benefits in today’s changing environment. Clergy, employer health-care decision makers, and plan participants are encouraged to come, or send responsible representatives.

At the workshop you will….

• Review other plan(s) from which to choose for next year, and have your options clearly explained
• Learn about maximizing your medical benefits
• Discover more about the value-added benefits offered with the Medical Trust plans — from your Vision plan, to the Employee Assistance Program to Health Advocate
• Look at the health utilization data and learn what we as a community could be doing to improve the overall health and wellness of our population. Did you know that 50% of disease can be caused by lifestyle and 60-80% of costs are incurred by those with chronic illness? The Medical Trust’s commitment to effective wellness initiatives has positive implications for the entire group.
• Get an overview on the Denominational Health Plan (DHP) and national healthcare issues.
• Le given the opportunity during a Q&A session to address any specific issues or concerns
