Cutting edge classrooms and labs

The "MAC Lab"
The new upper and middle school building facilities are extraordinary. Students have the benefit of two Mac labs featuring large flat screen monitors and spacious desks. In addition, state-of-the-art inquiry-driven physics, chemistry and biology labs have been equipped for cutting edge education. There are choral and music practice rooms, a music/orchestra/strings room, art rooms, a frame shop, a ceramic pottery room with a kiln, an executive board style journalism room, a commercial kitchen and approximately 11,000 square foot Library/Media Center with individual study rooms, conference rooms, and refreshment area. Also available are the Global Studies Center and Student Resource Center.
Athletics

The "Wildcats" new weight room
The athletic department at St. Luke’s offers a large weight training room surrounded by offices for each coach. The “Wildcats” are a new member of the Alabama High School Athletic Association and the program will field teams in football, basketball, baseball, soccer, softball, volleyball, swimming, golf, tennis, track and field, and cross country.
The school’s first varsity teams are anticipated to begin in the fall of 2010. Grades two through six currently participate in CYO (Catholic Youth Organization) fielding teams in football, basketball, volleyball, fall and spring soccer, cheerleading, and golf. The school also has an archery team.

The old Wright school left a strong footprint behind the new gym for the future of St. Luke’s athletics. Plans are already underway for an additional improvement phase for the soccer field, football field and baseball diamond.
