“Sale on the Circle” set for November 6 at St. Agatha’s, DeFuniak Springs

The entire Circle Drive in DeFuniak Springs will be host to the Third Annual “Sale on the Circle” November 6 from 8am to 2pm.   Expect to see antiques, crafts, flea market and yard sale items for sale.  St. Agatha’s Episcopal Church sponsors the sale to assist sellers and buyers in this difficult economy.  Profits will benefit Haiti Recovery and the church’s preservation fund.  Lunch will be available.

Donations are being accepted and any items that do not sell will be taken to Caring and Sharing.  Space for vendors and sellers is by reservation only.  Please phone 892-5610 or 892-6292 for space reservations and further information.

Peddler’s Alley, The Women’s Club Sale and the Chautauqua Cruiser’s Antique Car Show will also be available nearby.  Your fall Saturday in DeFuniak Springs should be a full, fun and profitable occasion!

Arts, Crafts and Gumbo Sale at Trinity, Mobile on November 13th

Trinity Episcopal Church will host its annual St. Anne’s Guild Arts, Crafts & Gumbo Sale, Saturday, November 13th, 2010, from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m., in the church’s Parish Hall at 1900 Dauphin Street in Mobile. Nearly 20 artists and vendors from across the region will offer everything from fine art paintings to jewelry, wood carvings, pottery, candles, garden art and more. Gumbo will be for sale by the pint. Free parking and free admission.

Established as Mobile’s second Episcopal Church in 1845, Trinity Episcopal Church was designed by New York architects Wills and Dudley on a Gothic Revival plan. The church was moved from its original location at St. Anthony and Jackson streets downtown to its current location in 1945.

Trumpet concert kicks off musical celebrations at the Cathedral

Christ Church Cathedral will host a Trumpet Concert on Wednesday, October 6, 2010 featuring Peggy Lyden, organist and choirmaster, on the organ and trumpet en chamade and Peter Wood on the trumpet.  The concert begins at 5:30 pm.

The public is invited, no admission charge.

Fifth Annual Brotherhood BBQ at Christ Church, Pensacola

Members of the Christ Church, Pensacola Chapter of the Brotherhood of St. Andrew will be cooking for you on Friday, September 24th, 2010!  The Chapter will offer its “World Famous BBQ” – complete pork or chicken dinner – from 11 am until 1 pm.  Plates include meat, baked beans, slaw (all our own recipes), roll, homemade brownie and tea for $10!!!!

Tickets must be bought in advance by SEPTEMBER 21ST

Deliveries are available for five orders or more

Christ Episcopal Church is located at 18 W. Wright St. in Pensacola, FL.

Centering Prayer Group Facilitator Workshop – October 8 in Pensacola

A “Centering Prayer” workshop is scheduled for October 8th, 2010 at Christ Church, Pensacola. This workshop is open to everyone who participates in a Centering Prayer group, not simply facilitators. If you facilitate a Centering Prayer group, desire to facilitate a group in the future, or wish to enrich your experience as a member of a Centering Prayer group, join fellow Centering Prayer group members  from 9:00 a.m. – 2:45 p.m. on October 8th.

EPISCOMALL! Open for business October 1, 2010

On October 1, 2010, EPISCOMALL will open for sales. What is EPISCOMALL?  It is the brain-child of Mark Roberts, a communicant of Episcopal Church of the Redeemer, Mobile, and an owner of Epiphany Development.  EPISCOMALL is an online mall under the auspices of the Diocese of the Central Gulf Coast wherein congregations within the diocese can each have their own store.

So…. how does this work?
