A Consecration in Coden

Coden, AL — Bishop Philip Duncan consecrated the new church building of St. Mary’s By-the-Sea in Coden, Alabama on Sunday, January 10, 2010. The weather was unusually cold but the sky was bright and clear as parishioners and guests celebrated the end of a long journey that began when hurricane Katrina flooded the former building and demolished carpet, flooring, pews, and walls in August of 2005.
